Get involved

1.png

There are several different ways to get involved with the project:

Would you like to receive a weekly meal?

Can you cook a meal to share once a week?

Are you able to deliver from a cook to a receiver?

When you submit an application, we match 2 - 3 cooks and delivery volunteers with their closest receiver to form a group for the 4-week pilot project.

We ask questions about dietary and allergen needs to both cooks and receivers to match based on confidence to cater for specific diets.

We do not ask why or require any proof of need to receive food.

Our principle is to help people get access to sufficient and nutritious food - apply if you think you would benefit from this.

We also would like to make it clear that we currently only offer one meal delivery per week, not a week's supply of food.

Everyone involved in QFP is an unpaid volunteer.

As required we can reimburse ingredients and fuel used during deliveries, we are funded by our community and openly encourage cooks to contribute what is affordable in their meal planning to share with another.

Not all cooks can deliver, and not all who can deliver want to cook, which is why we separate these two roles.

If you can do both, please fill in one application for both roles.
